Mississauga, ON – April 1, 2020 – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada reports 23,836 vehicles delivered in fiscal year 2019 representing a three per cent decrease in SUV sales over last year’s record year. Mitsubishi Motors delivered 6,976 of RVR, its top-selling nameplate, which benefitted from a recent design change. Outlander brand sold a total of 10,050 units, Outlander PHEV accounted for 4,149 of those units. Eclipse Cross rounds out the SUV line-up with 4,948 sales representing a 10 per cent increase over last year.
The month of March saw 1,786 deliveries, a decline over last year’s record March attributed to the impact of coronavirus. Mitsubishi Motors delivered 673 Outlander, 547 RVR, 221 Eclipse Cross and 190 Outlander PHEV. A total of 155 Mirage and Mirage G4 hatchback and compact sedans were delivered to round out the month.

Four of the top dealers for the fiscal year are based out of the province of Québec, Mitsubishi Motor’s top market. In order of achievement are Rallye Mitsubishi (Québec), Blainville Mitsubishi (Québec), Québec Mitsubishi, Capital Mitsubishi (Newfoundland), and Saint Jerome Mitsubishi (Québec).
The 2019 fiscal year also saw the beginning of Mitsubishi Motors retail transformation with nine dealerships completing a renovation or new build into the company’s new dealership brand image including most recently Blainville Mitsubishi which more than doubled in size to 24,000+ sq. ft.
