Rüsselsheim, 16. Juli 2014. Mitsubishi steigert die Attraktivität des City-Flitzers Space Star* mit dem Sondermodell „Color“ und einem Preisvorteil von bis zu 1.000 Euro, sowie in einem kurzen Aktionszeitraum die Basisvariante des Space Star für unter 7.000 Euro.
Seinem Namen gerecht wird der Space Star Color mit den beiden kräftigen und exklusiven zusätzlichen Sonderfarben Pitaya-Violett und Karambola-Gelb. Zudem geben ihm 14 Zoll große Leichtmetallfelgen eine dynamische Optik, seine Außenspiegel sind beheizbar und ebenso wie die Türgriffe in Wagenfarbe lackiert. Die in Schwarz gehaltenen B-Säulen korrespondieren harmonisch mit dem dunkel getönten Privacy Glass.
Innen gehören ein höhenverstellbarer Fahrer- und Beifahrersitz, Sitzheizungen vorne, hochwertig in Grau gemusterte Sitzbezüge, eine Sonnenblende mit Spiegel und Tickethalter auf der Beifahrerseite sowie verchromte Türgriffe vorn zur Ausstattung. Hochwertige, farbige Applikationen und silberfarbene Zierelemente werten das Interieur auf. Licht- und Regensensoren sowie elektrische Fensterheber steigern die Funktionalität und Bedienungsfreundlichkeit des Space Star Color zusätzlich. Weitere Features wie elektrische Außenspiegel, Klimaanlage, ein Audiosystem mit USB-Schnittstelle sowie Start-Stopp-System und ECO-Drive-Assistent, für besonders wirtschaftliches Fahren, lassen kaum Wünsche offen.
Das Sondermodell kostet ab 11.990 Euro und wird vom 1,2 Liter ClearTec MIVEC Motor angetrieben. Er leistet 59 kW/80 PS und kann mit einem manuellen oder stufenlosen Automatik-Getriebe kombiniert werden.

Basisvariante für 6.990 Euro in begrenztem Aktionszeitraum Die Basisversion des Space Star, der 1,0-MIVEC Benziner mit einer Leistung von 52 kW (71 PS) und 5-Gang Getriebe, bieten die teilnehmenden Mitsubishi Händler darüber hinaus in einem begrenzten Aktionszeitraum für 6.990 Euro an.
Diese Variante verfügt bereits über eine umfangreiche Sicherheitsausstattung mit sechs Airbags, ABS mit elektronischer Bremskraftverteilung (EBD), Bremsassistent, elektronischer Stabilitäts- und Traktionskontrolle (MASC/MATC) sowie ein Reifendruckkontrollsystem. Weitere Features sind Servolenkung, elektrische Fensterheber vorne, umklappbare Rücksitzlehne im Verhältnis 60:40 teilbar, ISOFIX Kindersitzbefestigung, Tagfahrlicht, Multi-Informations-Display, Leichtlaufreifen und vieles mehr …

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is Confirmed as Preferred Supplier to
The Highways Agency

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK (MMUK) has been confirmed as preferred supplier to the Highways Agency which has placed an order for 40 SG3 Shoguns for quarter three supply, in addition to the 30 vehicles delivered in March.
Alan Rowley, Contracts Manager for the Highways Agency, said:
“I would like to confirm that the contract for the supply of the next 40 Highways Agency Traffic Officer vehicles has been awarded and the vehicle chosen for the task is the Mitsubishi Shogun.
The Mitsubishi Shogun with its exceptional towing capacity, high reliability, low running costs and large boot space make it particularly suited for its Traffic Officer role.
As fleet manager I am extremely pleased to be continuing our already long standing relationship with Mitsubishi and am happy to welcome them onto my fleet."
This latest deal in an ongoing relationship with the Highways Agency (HA) is testament to the quality of the Mitsubishi brand and their ability to provide a ‘cradle-to-grave’ conversion service.
All 40 Shoguns will be built at the carmaker’s state-of-the-art Specialist Vehicle Operations Centre in Cirencester, which refits, adapts and upgrades standard Mitsubishi models to meet individual client requirements.
Each vehicle will take up to 24 hours to complete and will be bespoke to the Highways Agency’s requirements, this will include light bars, grille lights and the distinctive Highways Agency livery.
Dan Pigot, Corporate Sales Manager at Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, said:
“This latest order from the Highways Agency is proof that Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is continuing to tick all the boxes with Specialist Fleet Operators.
The Highways Agency know that the Shogun is a tough, practical vehicle and that it is also extremely comfortable to drive. The fact that we are able to offer our specialist fleet refits ‘‘in-house’’ is a major selling point. No-one knows better than the manufacturer what can be done, no third parties need to be involved so the whole process is nicely joined up and the vehicles will also benefit from the conversion running in line with the vehicle warranty.”
Mitsubishi Specialist Vehicle Operations (MSVO) is also working with an array of high-profile fleet operators including Ministry of Defence Police, Severn Trent Water and Thames Valley Police for their Dog Units.
