米国 ＩＩＨＳ （ 道路安全保険協会 ） の 実施 した クラッシュテスト にて
“ トップセーフティピック ＋ ２０１７ ” に
認定 された 事 を プレスリリース にて 発表 しました。
北米仕様 ミツビシ アウトランダー は
これで なんと ４年 連続 で トップセーフティピック ＋ に 認定 された 事 と なります。
ＩＩＨＳ ( 道路安全保険協会 ) の クラッシュテスト は
前面 オフセット ６４ ｋｍ ／ ｈ 側面 ５０ ｋｍ ／ ｈ 後方 ３２ ｋｍ ／ ｈ で 実施 し
ダミー人形 が 受けた 傷害レベル に 応じて
ＧＯＯＤ ( 優 ) ／ ＡＣＣＥＰＴＡＢＬＥ ( 良 ) ／ ＭＡＲＧＩＮＡＬ ( 可 ) ／ ＰＯＯＲ ( 不可 ) の
４段階 で 評価。
この他 追突時 の むち打ち確認テスト と 横転 を 想定 した ルーフ強度テスト
フロント部分 の 運転席側 １／４ が 当たるように オフセット させ 固定バリア に ぶつける
スモールオーバーラップ と 呼ばれる 前面オフセットクラッシュテスト を 実施。
トップセーフティピック ＋ は
これらの テスト にて ＧＯＯＤ ( 優 ) の 評価 を 獲得
尚且つ 前面衝突予防評価 に おいての ３段階 の 評価 では
２番目 の ＡＤＶＡＮＣＥＤ か 最高評価 の ＳＵＰＥＲＩＯＲ の いずれか の 獲得 が
必要 と なります。

・ Mitsubishi Outlander earns IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating for
fourth consecutive year

CYPRESS, Calif. -- Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today announced that the 2017 Outlander seven-passenger crossover has been named an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ recipient for the fourth year in a row when equipped with optional Touring Package*. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is an independent non-profit scientific and educational organization that researches, performs evaluations, and assesses safety ratings in crash testing of production vehicles. To qualify for 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK+, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the five crashworthiness tests, an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention and an acceptable or good headlight rating.
"At Mitsubishi Motors we are committed to safety and providing the best value for our customers," said Don Swearingen, executive vice president and chief operating officer, MMNA. "Competitively priced, the 2017 Outlander remains a leader in reliability and has expanded upon last year's model enhancements with new advanced safety technologies."
With a starting MSRP of only $23,495, standard safety features in the 2017 Outlander include seven air bags including the driver's knee airbag, Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and brake assist, Hill Start Assist, Active Stability Control (ASC) with Traction Control Logic (TCL) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
The 2017 Outlander SEL with 2WD and Touring Package features Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Pedestrian Detection (PD) system, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert and is available for $29,495.
