We tried to confirm for the Champions League spot in the final Premier League game, but we lost 0-1 to Everton.
　
However, the god of fortune has not Abandoned us and we were able to confirm for the Champions League spot.
　
It's been a great season to win the Cup for the first time in 70 year's and even confirm for the Champions League spot.

Sunday saw Newcastle round off their trophy-winning season by claiming a place in next season's Champions League tournament - thanks in no small part to the match-winning efforts of Manchester United.

Before kick-off, the Red Devils were on course to set a new club record of just six home league wins in a season, but Ruben Amorim's mob rode their luck before scoring twice to inflict a priceless defeat on Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

The Villans endured a trio of contentious decisions that began with the dismissal of Emiliano Martinez in first half added time, continued with a Morgan Rogers goal that referee Thomas Bramall ruled out and concluded with a penalty award that led to the home side's crucial second goal.


At Gallowgate meanwhile, the Magpies were inflicting cruelty on their fans in the form of a shapeless, aimless performance that helped a certain wearside custodian keep a clean sheet - although our shoddiness was as pivotal as his proficiency....

That pain increased when an unmarked Carlos Alcaraz was left alone to head Vitalii Mykolenko's centre past Nick Pope in the Gallowgate goal just after the hour mark.

Barely 10 minutes later however, roars from those fans inside SJP with a functioning phone signalled that events elsewhere were shaping our destiny in the shape of a Manchester United goal - and then another one for good measure.

A season when results elsewhere never seemed to benefit us concluded with the biggest payback since Villa knocked Brighton off the top of the Championship in 2017.

The fact that Newcastle are back in the Champions League will be remembered long after today's events. An upturn following the defeat at Brentford in December that dropped them into twelfth position was followed by a sequence of results meant that today's outcome didn't matter.

They may have stumbled over the line with sections of the team running on fumes, but they got there. Somehow.

For Howe, the relief is two-fold; not only achieving qualification but also securing the financial rewards for the club that finally allow him to significantly reshape his squad - something that today underlined is long overdue.

Rightfully, there's also celebration for the manager, who reflected on the season just finished as follows:

"First domestic trophy in 70 years, Champions League place, just how big an achievement is it? It’s a massive achievement. A massive season for us."

　　　　生成AI に 聞いたら 「ぬるま湯に漬ける」 と 教えてくれました …

　(中)　「あっ とりかつチキン だろ！」… って声が聞こえますが … 正解 です！
　　　　最近は インバウンドに占拠されてる … との うわさ でしたが、この日は 日本のお客さま が 多かったです

　(中)　メインの食材（ごま塩ポテト・鶏皮ぎょうざ・ベーコンチーズメンチ） は "惣菜なかふじ" で 仕入れます
　　　　この後、チャーハン は "みどりのおかず" で、焼きそば は "上海肉まん" で 調達
　　　　そして 煮玉子 の "松ばや" が 70年の歴史にピリオド！ してしまい 煮玉子 はなし … ものすごぉ～く 残念！

5月5日（月）こどもの日 …　　この日 は 10代目 で 出撃 です

　　　　前から気になっていた 昭和２９年 福岡市野間の四ツ角 が 始まりの "たい焼き屋さん" です
　　　　関東には 寒川 と 群馬太田 にしか ない みたいですね …
　(中)　調達してきたのは 上：小豆あん２匹 と 下：カスタード２匹
　　　　皮もパリパリ で カスタード が 美味しく、家族 にも 評判が良かった です
　　　　次回 は カスタード と 安納芋あん を 調達 してこよぉ … ここは 平塚病院 に 行く裏道 にあります
　　　　でも … 小豆あん は 目黒ひいらぎ を 超えることは 難しいか？
　(右)　最後 は イオン天王町ショッピングセンター屋上 から みなとみらい を 背景に１枚
　　　　blogだけ見てると N-ONE号Ⅱ と 10代目 でしか 出撃してない よぉに見えますが …
　　　　8代目 は 出撃に備えて 毎週、エンジンまわり・駆動まわり の オイルを循環 させてます
　　　　哨戒機 P-2 は 天気の良い日 は 近所の哨戒活動 に 従事 しています
　
そ・ん・な・こ・ん・な で 2025 G・W も 終わって しまいました …
　既に 日常生活 に 戻って おりますが、
　　来月 は 初夏の伊豆路 2025 に 出撃 の 予定 です
