徳大寺有恒は極端に好き嫌いが分かれるだろうが、私は好きだった。というより、唯一信頼する自動車評論家で、大学の頃「間違いだらけ…」を知ってから過去の著作も色々読んできた。先日、本屋でダンディトークなる本が復刻？されていたので、ダンディになるために買ってみた。

貴族に憧れ、貴族以上に貴族足らんとしたジャガーのダンディズム、性能すら美のための手段でしかないフェラーリの奏でる死の官能、合理主義の塊であるはずのメルセデスが見せる情念的なエゴイズム。みなそれぞれに国を民族を歴史を背骨とした物語を持っている。

では、日本はどうか。セルシオをあのメルセデスさえ狼狽させると評価する一方、「セルシオには全てがある、しかしドラマだけがない」と断じる。「現在のところ日本車は日本文化の伝統と何一つ結びついていない。」からだ。30年近く経った現在でも日本とは何か、日本の美とは何かが問われ続けている。

しかし、この人の自動車の評価軸というのは、車だけではないファッション・音楽・文学などを含めた、人間としての奥の深さに裏打ちされているのだとよく分かる。本当に死んでしまったのか。最後に所有した車も気になる。

Although Aritsune Tokudaiji is a man not for everyone, I like it. Or rather He is the only auto critic I trust and I read some of his books since I found the "With a lot of mistakes" when I was a university student. I bought his book titled "Dandy talk" the other day to be dandy.

On the other hand Aritsune evaluate Celsior unnerve the Mercedes, he concluded Celsior has everything but drama blaming it there's no continuity of Japanese car and historical tradition. What is Japan, what is the Japanese beauty? The same question has been asked for the last 30 years.

I'm sure his evaluation axis for a car is based on his broad mind including not only car itself but fashion, music and literature. Did he really died? I wanted to know his last car.

・好き嫌いが分かれるは、loved by someone and hated by othersなど出てくるが、上記で通じるか？
・自動車評論家は、carとauto、criticとpunditで悩んだ。
・知っては、knowがやはり自然だろうか。
・sinceとwhenと二つ接続しはアリだろうか？
・先日も、出てこない。
・官能は、sensuous exhaustが出てくるが。
・情念は、emotionやpassionは少し違う気がした。しかし、pathosは形容詞が不明だった。哀しいという意味もある。
・狼狽させるあたりから、もう調べるのがしんどくなってきた。
・評価軸も、すぐ出てきたgoogleの訳。
・懐が深いは、broad mindが出てきたが心が広いと言いたいわけではない。

土日は渋谷でペア碁観戦。四ツ谷に住んでいた頃は市ヶ谷の棋院が近かった訳だが、とにかくイベントの告知・PRが下手で、見逃すことが多かった。対して今回のペア碁は田園都市線で派手に宣伝しており、その効果か、ヒカリエの大きなホールがほぼ満員で立ち見もいた（相変わらず平均年齢は高いが。）。思いついたまま書いてみる。

・日本勢は初日で早々に姿を消したのは残念であった。
・息が合わないとダメなので下克上的な楽しみもあるのかもしれない。
・が、解説だけ聞いていると息が合っているのが当たり前の普通の碁と比べてミスが多いと感じてしまう。
・お祭りの雰囲気で、どの程度真剣度合いなのかちょっと分からない。
・台湾にもプロがあると初めて知った。日本に来る意味があるのか？
・趙治勲は相変わらずで、面白い。
・運営は色々改善点がある。誰と誰がやっているのか常に把握しておきたい。

しかし、Alpha Goに勝てない以上、プロに意味があるのだろうか。チェスのように楽しむ人は今後もいるだろうが、プロは勝たねばならない。元々意味などない訳だが、プロの誰かに答えて欲しい。写真は全然関係ない丸の内のビル。1枚くらい写真を撮っておけばよかった。




せっかく書いてもむちゃくちゃなのが分かっているから見直したくない英語。

Writing what is coming up with in my mind.

- There may be a supplant enjoyment.
- but there are more mistakes because of the team work.
- Seems lie festival, not a serious game.
- First knew there is a Pro league in Chinese Taipei.
- Cho Chi Hun was funny as usual.
- Many improvements on organising.

Is there any value if human being cannot beat Alpha Go? There will be a people playing Go for fun but for professionals have to win. Originally there are no meanings of Go, I'd like to know the answer from pros. Photo posted has nothing to do with the event. I should have taken at least one.

便器が鳴く。正確に言うと便器の蓋を閉じるときジョイント部分がギギギギと鳴くのである。

今の部屋はちょっとした所がこだわってあり、例えばドアノブは金メッキだし、ドアにはクローザーがあり開け閉めの心地が滑らかで優しい。トイレットペーパーのホルダーも、蓋の部分が少しペーパーを押さえるようになっており、スムーズな回転と切りやすさを両立している。

そして便器の蓋もゆっくり閉まるのである。ガン!とならないのでいいのだが、少し前からギギギギッ!!と嫌な音で鳴くようになってしまった。ドアを閉めても聞こえる結構大きな音なので、どうにかして欲しい（今調べるとソフト開閉機能というらしいが、バタンとしまってしまうというトラブル事例はあるが、音はない。）。

toilet coverは、便座カバーを指す。一方でトイレットペーパーホルダーは、（lidもあるようだが）coverが多くヒットする。
closeは、自動詞も他動詞も形容詞もありややこしい。ここでは状態ではなく動作なので自動詞にしてみた。
こだわりは、悩んだ。be particular aboutが一般的のようだが、これは人を主語にとるらしい。
金メッキは、gold palte。金の皿が出てくるがメッキの意味もあるらしい。
両立するは、compatibleが出てくるが少し違う気も。形式張っているし。
バタンと閉めるは、slamだが、stop slammingが多い。slammedは少ない。
どうにかして欲しいは、do somethingだが、”どうにかしてよ！”という叫びっぽい意味。anyhowを付けてよいかわからない。一応完全一致の例は出てくるが。
これだけ調べるのに超疲れる。
