Mitsubishi Reports 1,607 Sales in November
Lancer is Top Seller, Outlander Shines
Mississauga, ON – December 3, 2012 –
Led by the new-for-2013 Mitsubishi Lancer 10th Anniversary Edition and Lancer GT AWC, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) sold 1,607 vehicles last month, up 3.1 percent versus 1,558 sales in November 2011.
Mitsubishi Lancer compact sedans accounted for a leading 575 deliveries in November. Mitsubishi’s compact sport utility vehicle, Outlander, notched its second best month of the year with 532 deliveries.
“The arrival of winter weather in many parts of Canada makes Outlander – and its world-class all-wheel control system – a natural choice for consumers. Add to this the availability of all-wheel-control on our Lancer and RVR models, and Mitsubishi offers the confidence and safety consumers desire in the winter months,” said Tony Laframboise, vice president, Sales and Marketing at MMSCAN.
The Mitsubishi RVR compact crossover – MMSCAN’s second best-selling model – saw 485 sales in November.
November sales of Mitsubishi’s acclaimed all-electric hatchback i-MiEV hit eight units; total Canadian i-MiEV sales have reached 206 since last December’s launch. The 200th i-MiEV was delivered to a Quebec couple in mid November.
