遥か昔ですが、短期間ながら英国で暮らしたことがあります。
その間にスコットランドを週末ツアーで旅したり、帰り道にベルギー、オランダを周ったりしました。
初めて海外に出た時なのですが、日本と違った広々とした世界が今でも印象です。



何よりも道が広く、電柱がない。

味のある建物が並び、道路は整ったデザインで整備されてます。

それは地方でも。


英国滞在期間はウェストサセックス州のチチェスターという地方都市にいました。
英国国鉄、ロンドンのヴィクトリア駅から1時間強の都市でした。

当時、駅前にケンタッキー・フライド・チキンがあるだけの田舎でしたが、それでも風景は綺麗なもの。
市街地はロータリー式の交差路に広い道路。
まとめ上げられた標識類。

どこまでも色がる草原に日没の遅い夏の夜が加わり、見たことのない風景が広がっていました。


日本も古い街並みが綺麗だと外国から人気ですが、大きく違うのが電柱の存在。
電線が多い。

都市景観が世界から遅れていると言われている日本ももう少しこういうところ、力を入れてほしいものです。


だから海外の街並みで撮影された車の写真はカッコいいんですよね。



Long ago, I have lived in the UK for a short time.
I traveled to Scotland on a weekend tour and visited Belgium and the Netherlands on my way back.
I went abroad for the first time.
It's an impression that it was spacious unlike Japan.

The road is very wide and there is no electric wire.
Beautiful buildings line up, the roads are maintained in a well-designed.
It is also a local city.

I was in a local city called Chichester in West Sussex.
It was about an hour from London Victoria station of British Railways.

At the time, it was a rural area with only Kentucky Fried Chicken in front of the station, but the landscape is beautiful.
The center of the city is a rotary intersection and a wide road.
The signs raised together.

A summer night without sunset...
The scenery which I have not seen has spread!

It's popular among foreign tourists that old cityscapes are beautiful in Japan, but the presence of electric wires is quite different.
There are many electric wires.

Japan is evaluated that urban landscape is behind the world.
I want you to put some effort on it.

So the picture of the car taken in the streets abroad is so cool.
