クリームを剥がされた裸のケーキ　Nude peeled cream cake

子供にショートケーキを食べさせると、上のクリームだけ先に食べてしまい、スポンジ部分だけが残ってしまう。テーブルの上を散らかしてしまうような子供でも、そういう作業だけはなぜか得意なようで、本当に上手にクリームだけが無くなってしまう。

散らかった部屋に誰かが来るとき、慌てて押入れの中にそれらを押し込んでみても、いつの間にかまた散らかって、気が付けば部屋の中も、押し入れの中もひどいことになってしまう。

そのようなことは遠い昔の思い出話だと思っていたのですが、「今でもそうじゃないか」と諭されるような一件がありましたので、今日はその報告です。

建物の外回りや、物置といったところはいつの間にか葉っぱが入り込んだり、砂埃が積もったりするもので、たまに屋外用の掃除機で綺麗に掃除をしています。

値段的にはそれほどの物でもありませんけど、そのボリューム感や造形からいかにも頼りになりそうな雰囲気があって、気が付けば車内の掃除なども含め、頻繁に稼働させていました。

そして掃除が終わった後は、実にさわやか、気分もウキウキするもので、使った掃除機は元の場所に戻しておくのです。

物置の床には様々なものが落ちているもので、どこから入って来たのか分からないような小石だったり、鳥の羽だったり、その他にもゴキブリやクモの死骸、得体の知れない虫などいろいろなものがあるのです。

掃除機を使っていると、機械の威力を借りて気が強くなるようで、苦手で普段は逃げ回っているそういうものにも平然と立ち向かい吸い込んでいくのです。

しかし、そういったことがしばらく続くとタンクがいっぱいになって、いつの間にか吸い込みが悪くなって、そうなると弱気になって普段のように逃げ腰な姿勢になってくるのです。

それでもまだ頑張れということで、さらにしばらく使っているといよいよ吸い込まなくなってきて、そうなると掃除の頻度も落ちてくるのが分かります。中を開けて溜まったゴミを取り出して、フィルターを綺麗にすれば復活するのは分かっていても、これまでに吸い込んだゴキブリや得体の知れない物と対面するが怖く、弱気になっているのもあって先送りになってしまうのです。

そうすると追い打ちをかけるように、床の葉っぱや砂埃がいよいよ目立ってきて、どうしようもなくなってしまうのです。

と、そういいきさつで前回のゴミ出しリフレッシュから半年ぶり位でしょうか、意を決してゴミ出し作業に取り掛かるのです。

溜まったゴミを袋に出して、空になったタンクは水道でたわしを使って綺麗に洗い、微細なホコリで目詰まりしているフィルターは洗剤でよく洗っていきます。そのあたりの作業中の様子の写真は手が離せないのでありません。

そして向き合うこと１時間、ようやく掃除機のリフレッシュが完了し、床に落ちていたり、隅に寄せてあったゴミ類の回収も無事に完了することができました。

あっ、だから、クリームが無くなって丸裸になったスポンジを見ても苦笑いするしかないのかもしれません。
