TVドラマ「電車男」のテーマ曲といえばピンとこられる方は多いだろう。
だけどオイラの場合はチト違うのであった。

時はオイラが１５の頃。
クラスメイトのアイツは家がガソリンスタンドを経営している関係でクルマについて結構詳しい。
彼も彼で少年時代からスカイラインに夢中だったオイラを知っていた。
オイラはあの史上最強のスカイラインRSにときめいていた。
だが当時の彼はセリカXX派でアツく語っていた。

ある日の事、その友人が一本のカセットテープを貸してくれた。

「エレクトリックライトオーケストラ？　イエローマジックオーケストラ系？」

「そういうと思ったよ（笑）。」



「なんかこのビート、すげぇなぁ。シンセヴォイスからのトワイライトでピーンとくる。気に入ったよ。」

「だろ…」

ある日の事。
ヤツがウチに遊びに来た時の事、ウチのTVで偶然流れていた初めてのCMに二人して絶句…



「おい、なんだこれ？　バッカカッコイイじゃんか（静岡方言で「超カッコイイ」の意味）！」



「ZとスカイラインとセリカXXとコロナのCMはカッコイイよ。」

時は流れて時代はCD。
迷わずアルバム「TIME」を買ってしまったオイラであった。

初めて聴いた時から四十数年。
未だにウチのCDラックに鎮座しているアルバムTIMEであった。
